In this lesson we talk about drawing monsters that are need for our recreation of the game Doodle Jump. In Doodle Jump there are many different monsters that will make you loose the game if you run into them. This is the lesson that you get to let you imagination get out of hand. All the monsters in Doodle Jump look like they were taken out of Nightmare Before Christmas by Tim Burton. Below is our recreation of one of the monsters.
Now this monster is by no means perfect or ideal for our final version of the game but we didn’t spend that much time drawing it. If you are following along with us you are welcome to take your time when drawing your monsters and other assets. Also remember to use your creativity and make all your assets exactly what you want them to be.
To draw this character we used Adobe Photoshop and a Wacom tablet but you can use any free paint program. Wacom tablets can be expensive but you can just use your mouse but it may be a little harder to get exactly what you want when drawing your assets. Finally it is important to remember to save you images as a PNG in order to not have any white space.
