How to Divide up Your Sprite Sheet

In this lesson we teach you how to go about dividing up your sprite sheet into its individual images. The step you need to take are listed below.

1. Select your sprite sheet in your project panel
2. Click on the button sprite editor in the inspector panel
3. In the new window that appears click on the drop down menu titled slice at the top left corner
4. Make sure type is set to automatic and then click the slice button
5. finally click the apply button near the top right corner of the sprite editor window.

Once you have completed all these steps you will see that your sprite sheet can now be expanded revealing all the individual images. You can now use these sub-images as if they were their own separate files.
